Review on Efficient Battery Saver: Koolatron F70110 12V in Sleek Black Design by Patrick Lets

Works very well. After reading the reviews I decided to test before the trip. I connected a small 12v AGC battery and then connected my Igloo electric cooler. It worked for about 30 minutes before the voltage dropped somewhere between 11 and 12 volts. I couldn't verify the exact shutdown voltage as it recovered somewhat after the battery saver shut down the cooler. I'm guessing the shutdown was around 11 volts since the quiescent voltage was less than 12 volts. Review dated July 20, 2016. My original product worked fine for about a year and then did not show a green (ON) light when I plugged it into a 12 volt outlet. It just glows red but lets the cooler work. I concluded that it would no longer protect, so I ordered a replacement. The replacement was defective, just showing a flickering red light and the cooler was running at about half speed. I contacted Revain and asked for another replacement which arrived 2 days later. This showed only red light again and turned the cooler to full speed. I took a different approach and returned the 2nd replacement for a refund. The quality control and shelf life of this product seems a bit limited.
