This is a simple thing that works quite well. The instructions with pictures don't make much sense, but are easy to understand. Just use tap water and freeze it in these molds. They can turn out to be cloudy with small cracks - this is the nature of water freezing with oxygen. They come out round with a small mound at the pour point. There are reviewers who claim that boiling water, refrigeration, and/or using bottled drinking water yields pure ice. I've tried all of these. The bullets always come out right away. In addition to the cool look, their plus is that they stay cold longer and cool more fluidly due to their size. This is an elegant and functional way to present a pure cocktail such as whiskey or any other beverage.
