This item really worked. I've used it for about 500 miles but had a few issues. At first it never seemed like you could tighten the screw enough that the unit wouldn't vibrate slowly when you released the throttle. Second, the rubber strap that came with the kit broke. This strap was a great fit for the product as it had raised edges to keep the device in place. Without them, the unit always wanted to turn sideways. I've tried several other rubber bands with limited success. Third, the hinge rivet in the block fell out. It was easy to attach by just sticking a rivet in it. In general, it turned out to be fine. It was better than nothing and gave me enough time to let off the gas to help my numb hands. I have since switched to an Atlas gas barrier.
