Cheap handle design defective
Looks good and seems functional and strong enough. But there is no guide how to change that. The turn seemed fairly easy after some inspection and I thought both sides lined up correctly, but maybe they weren't. As soon as I screwed it in, the little beaded wings that keep the rotating part of the handle from falling broke, so the handle fell out and I couldn't fix it. I had to save the piece from the ugly one I had replaced. Now I have a brown plastic handle on a nice bronze lock. It's functional, but I paid a lot more to make it look pretty and not just functional. The white line in the picture is where the small protrusion used to be.
