This is a well made tool. Focus on the instrument It's lightweight, writes well and is durable. I wanted a non-lethal option because certain situations don't justify a lethal option. I had no problems with the clamp or the lid. It is overcast but will fade and wear away over time. It's incomprehensible, so it doesn't attract attention. I bought it because it's blunt enough to hit someone without being pierced, but sharp enough to break a window. I didn't like the other options as dot poses a stab risk on others with window breakers. This means close contact with the blood. And anything with a sharp enough end can be considered deadly. It also has a flat back that allows your thumb to move and control the stylus. Many of them are directed to both sides, and you will not gain strength and you will not risk injury. Remember that this is a protection tool. The pen itself is an added and secondary bonus. risk losing it. There's no reason to use it as a pen for everyday use. This should be for emergencies or if you forgot your pen and need it. You can also train with it and can highly recommend it.
