A class. Excellent build quality and writes very well.

I am satisfied with this product and would buy it again. It's durable and attractive. It's also very comfortable to hold when writing. My only two minor complaints: 1) The cap unscrews in the same direction as the pen body (which needs to be removed to swap out the ink cartridge). The body of the pen had to be threaded in reverse as it sometimes comes loose simply by removing the cap and putting it back on. 2) When writing, the cap of the pen is only held by friction. There had to be a…

So used: + . Pen Consumption: -

I came across this pen while looking for a heavy writing instrument. I wasn't looking for tactical characteristics. My goal was to write with a solid pen. However, I like this pen for what it is: an unobtrusive (i.e. unobtrusive) tactical tool that can definitely be used as a weapon. It's heavy, strong and solid. However, as a writing instrument it is mediocre. I find it very heavy when writing and the replaceable part (the part that writes) moves, clicks/rattles and never feels complete. Maybe

Nice design, poor cap retention when in use.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could. Advantages: 1. Exquisite design. 2. Great hand feeling. 3. For EDC: When used properly as personal protection, the pointed end of the case will definitely cause pain. A very solid case. 4. The cap screws onto the pen so it is very secure when closed. Disadvantages: 1. On most pens with removable caps, the cap fits snugly on the end of the pen when removed. This pen doesn't have that. Placing it at the end makes it easy to remove the cap once it's installed…

I'm very glad I looked around and found Schrade Tactical.

I lost my makeshift Gerber pen a few weeks ago and wanted to replace it. I'm very glad I looked around and found the Schrade tactical pen. Although it's about a third the cost, I find it to be a much better tactical pen. Part of the reason is that it's slightly larger in diameter so it's much easier to hold and write on, it's also lighter and doesn't look that much like a tactical pen, especially when the cap attaches to the back of the pen is. Handle. One of the main reasons I liked it is that

Firstly, this is a tool for protection, secondly.

This is a well made tool. Focus on the instrument It's lightweight, writes well and is durable. I wanted a non-lethal option because certain situations don't justify a lethal option. I had no problems with the clamp or the lid. It is overcast but will fade and wear away over time. It's incomprehensible, so it doesn't attract attention. I bought it because it's blunt enough to hit someone without being pierced, but sharp enough to break a window. I didn't like the other options as dot poses a…

Handle is stronger than some other handles

Very good handle. I had several Parker parts waiting as some of the other reviewers suggested and the pen writes beautifully. I'll order a pack of gel refills and just see how they write, but the standard refills are working well so far. It's a firm, sensitive pen with a good weight. The clip is very strong so it won't slip out of your pocket. I haven't had a chance to use it for self defense and I hope I don't have to. This is a solid pen, though, and when the cap is closed properly it can be…

After much deliberation about which "tactical" pen I should buy, I decided on this one from Schrade. In terms of form and function, this one seemed to tick all the boxes. Now that I have it in my hands I find the fit and finish to be very good. I didn't find any real problems with any edges and everything seemed to fit together nicely. It doesn't look too "tactful", which is a plus. For the most part, it's just a nice carbide pin. If necessary, it can certainly be used as a suitable device…

Good tactical pen with understated style

One of the main functions of a tactical pen should be restraint. Not to be seen as a weapon. It seems that most tactical pens fail to do this basic job in one way or another. This pen is one of the rarest pens to meet this first requirement. The pen is quite elegant, very simple and writes quite well. It's not the holy grail for writing masterpieces, but it does write better than the cheap pens most of us use. The cap is easily pressed against the back of the pen when writing. It's heavier than

Excellent pen with a small bend.

This has been an excellent pen for the months that I have owned it. I didn't have to use it tactically, but I consider it a must-have EDC (every day carry) item. When the original cartridge ran out, I replaced it with a Fisher Space Pen refill, which was quick and easy. This is an extremely durable pen with an excellent firm grip and a very understated appearance. I know it was risky but I had no issues with airport security and that handle in my backpack. I have included a picture of the most…
