If you buy this item you and your dog could be out of luck. This product helps! Much luck! However, this is the best skunk removal product on the market. I was aware of this product before as my parents have used it very successfully on their dogs in the past. Unfortunately, when my dog was neutered this fall, I didn't have a single remedy at hand. Our poor golddoodle took about 10 baths that first day before we could get a bottle of it from our vet. Since then we've stocked up on Revain to make sure we have something on hand for the next bad meeting. regular dog shampoo and tomato juice. None comes as close to odor removal as Skunk-Off. I also needed to remove the smell from his collar, for which I tried Nature's Miracle and Skunk-Off. Skunk-Off is much better at removing odors. Another great thing about Skunk-Off is the smell. It has a very harmless odor that also helps mask the skunky smell. I warn you, if this is a hit (like our dog's), no product will completely remove the smell. Only time in this case will completely get rid of all the smell. This product does a great job of reducing that odor to a barely noticeable level. Our dog couldn't smell a skunk for the first month or two unless it got wet. Once that happened, it was time for another bath.
