I always put a couple coats of oil based poly on the outside, right out of the box, to help it hold up longer and repel oil stains etc. I’m sure it would be fine without it, but I’m in the construction trade and I’m hard on my phone/case. Great case, I usually have my photo ID in it, with three or four debit cards, insurance card and a few bills in the large pocket. The bills need to be folded in half to fit btw. Materials breaks in nice and becomes a little more soft. Lasts at least a year with rough handling. Never broke a screen while inside this. And I don’t use a screen protector.They should add on a little magnetic or Velcro flap to cover the charging port, so it doesn’t get filled up with sawdust, dirt and debris. I may rig something like that on my next one.
