After using a stainless steel hose for months I'll never buy another standard hose again. These are heads above rubber or fabric covered expandable hose. Not only are they lighter they're truly KINK PROOF and don't kink even when tied in a knot! They loop easily over foundation holders and a flick of the wrist unwinds them. Standard long rubber hose can use all the room on foundation holders often leaving excess loops on the ground and are difficult to move. Metal hoses fit onto foundation holders with no excess loops to trip over. And, unlike fabric covered expandable hose that are damaged by UV rays, these are not and they provide the same water flow as a rubber hose since there's no kinks to fight.One word of caution; don't step on these hoses; it won't hurt them but it may hurt you; as I learned the hard way, if you step on them they roll and throw you off balance!
