Stitching is not comfortable, pad will slide a bit.

This isn't a terrible mousepad, I've seen worse. However, it's not what I wanted for a replacement daily mousepad. I bought it to replace my razer goliath that's almost 10 years old, but, I wish I hadn't been lazy/forgetful and opened it before the return window. I may just have sensitive skin because I've seen plenty of people saying the stitching is great and you won't notice it. However, for me, it's very noticeable and itchy and scratchy on my wrist. If I have long sleeves on, I try to pull it over that part of my wrist but it doesn't protect me for long before the sleeve slips back again. The second I touched the stitching with my wrist I was disappointed. In gaming or even just internet browsing, I feel the stitching on the lip scraping me, especially with wide swipes of the mouse. Even just resting my wrist on it feels uncomfortable. It isn't exactly sandpaper, but, for me it's a constant annoyance and leaves a mildly sore mark for me after a while. The surface is largely smooth and during my very first impression I thought I liked the traction, but, I found that pulling the mouse downward causes at least 2-3x the friction as other directions and has a "grainy" feel to it. It gets worse if you tend to press down a bit hard on the mouse or have heavy hands. It's only the downward motion, but, since this is actually the most important direction for me while doing precise recoil spray patterns with FPS games, so it's unfortunate. Flipping it the other way doesn't help either. It may be something to do with my deathadder mouse, but, that's what I have and my other pad didn't have this issue at all in it's prime. The best way for it to seem smooth is to move the mouse quickly while holding it down very lightly. I've already considered going back to my old, frayed, stain covered, and beer soaked (this was the last straw for me when I last sent it swimming in lager) razer goliath with only about 1/2 - 1/3 of the surface that still has good slickness and traction.I have a pretty slick surfaced desk and combined with the added friction from the stitching catching my wrist, it will slip and slide a bit. Not much, but just enough to annoy me and make me correctly align it again. It's the fact that all these things on their own are just above the threshold for what's consciously noticeable that makes it that much more of a tease. I like the look and it seems durable and I've only been using it for 1 day so far, but, I can't help but feel disappointed. It works, but, I'd rather have paid more for something that didn't have these issues. This may work for you but it wasn't what I expected.

Pros
  • The large size of the MROCO gaming mouse pad allows for more freedom of movement and precise control during gameplay
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who require a waterproof pad
