Review on Black HATCHBOX PA Nylon 3D Printer Filament - 1Kg Spool, 1.75Mm Diameter With +/- 0.05Mm Dimensional Accuracy by Greg Princeking

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great intro to printing with Nylon, but a poor excuse for nylon

Using an Anet A8 with E3d Titan Aero this filament is just a pleasure to work with. At a .1 layer height I have printed a few structural components and gears and have experienced no significant warping with a very beautiful part. I did build a full dry box before opening the Nylon and using it so it has had nearly no interaction with humidity.Edit: Came to downgrade my review, This filament is nice, but I am seriously confused as to of if it's actually nylon? I say this because AS stated I printed some structural parts from it and they seemed to be nice at first, but they started warping and at a lower temp than my PLA part it replaced. I printed the E3d Titan Aero carriage out of this and it gave out after a week. Wtf is wrong with this nylon? Its more like flexible melty PLA.If you want some cool feeling and looking black parts this is still a great filament, If you are looking for nylon for its properties you may want to stay away.

Pros
  • Good product.
Cons
  • Has a tendency to clog or jam, causing printing delays or defects

First foray into nylon filament. Once dialed in you''re gold. Came vacuum sealed with almost no moisture. Be sure to store in dry area when not in use
