I just bought these mittens for my 6 year old with autism. I was unlucky enough to find something warm enough for him to play in the snow that held him in place and didn't make it impossible to put his fingers in. fists and really don't know what to do. We have dinosaur mittens and I really appreciate the low profile wrist zips in addition to the adjustable wrist straps. Straps to keep them secure in your arms. He likes to clap his hands and they still have them while his last pair would fly away in an instant. We haven't had a chance to test them in the snow yet, but they're warm and should be better than thin knitted mittens. he wore before.
