I've been looking for the lightest diffuser I could find and LimoStudio is one of the lightest I have. It cannot be made lighter because then it becomes a consumable. However, I wanted to take the risk. That's why I cut out a tab from the diffuser in the middle and glued a piece of light hard frost to it. It was my favorite diffusion material when I was working, but it was a consumable. Since I retired, I don't see it that way anymore. I stuck it on a sedan instead of a regular frame, thinking it would be better preserved, there would be a little more and strong scattering at the edges (very desirable), as well as a flap, which could be rolled up to increase density. Nobody has that! photo attached.
