Review on Jura Cool Control 0 6L White by Chris Nastanovich

Mandatory if using milk

I doubted it for years. I read the reviews and finally decided to give it a try. It's so expensive, but it's a game changer when you use milk. It might sound silly, but having instant milk for your Jura is by far the best thing since Jura. Before that I used a normal Jura frosted glass. I used it every day, cleaned it, put it in the fridge and then took it out again every morning to pour milk. This is a first world problem, but now we can solve it with money and technology. Maybe you don't think about your milk every day, but you do think about it once a week or so. This block holds (I have 34 ounces) about 32 ounces of milk, which is about half a pack. Contrary to some misleading reviews I've read, it's perfectly safe to add milk and leave it on for the life of the milk. In other words, you don't have to change it every day. An open liter of milk will keep in the fridge for 5-7 days. Life in Yura's department will be the same. It's a fridge, after all. How often you need to brush beforehand depends entirely on how much milk you use - for me it's once a week. In terms of cleaning, this is a good stainless steel container. Easy to clean with hot water. The milk hose is cleaned as usual, a simple milk cleaning cycle once a day. The device itself looks beautiful, is easy to use and keeps the milk cold. The USDA recommends that the temperature of milk should not exceed 45 degrees - I've never seen that until the temperature is above 40. It maintains a constant temperature of 35-40. When cleaning, I recommend emptying the stainless steel container, cleaning it and leaving it empty. Wait until the temperature drops below 40 before adding milk, which will take about 30 minutes. I appreciate the easy-to-read temperature on the device. You can always check what temperature it is. Easy to read level units. 1-4 units indicate how full it is. If it turns red, you have a maximum of 1-2 drinks left before it's really empty. There's an optional Wi-Fi insert that connects to your car, which I think is silly and unnecessary. As a Yura fan, but stingy - I highly recommend this item if you make drinks with milk. A word of warning - when I first got my container and plugged it in, it took forever to cool, many hours. This cooling was never needed again, and I suspect some sort of initial process for the new block cooling process. After this initial cool down, it can go from room temperature to milky cold in about 30 minutes.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
