All is well until you realize that this item requires a lot of effort to "clean" it. It's very portable and lightweight, but the fact that you have to take extra steps to fill it up the first time really put me off! If I had known that, I would have gone with another choice. WARNING: It is illegal in California to "clean" propane tanks, hence the difficulty in filling up the first time. . It comes with a label that recommends cleaning. For those who are probably wondering what "flushing" means, here it is: Flushing a propane tank is required when the manufacturer specifies it. Flushing essentially involves filling the tank with a small amount of propane and slowing it down into the air (repeat several times). This prevents air or unwanted contaminants from getting inside before the first refueling. Highly recommended, otherwise it will cause malfunction or excess water in your propane tank which will shorten its lifespan. Check with your local propane supplier, they will know exactly what to do. I found a propane supplier in Long Beach that was capable of doing this and ended up filling it up.
