I replaced a 25 year old cooker hood I already had electrical wiring and air ducts. Assembly is best done with two people, but it's not difficult. If you are using an existing duct, pre-purchase the duct extender and it will be up and running within an hour. It has excellent suction power and a bright LED light. Some reviews state that the power and backlight buttons don't work or don't work. It's more of a touch button, like a touch screen. The problem I think others have is that they press the buttons too hard and if it doesn't work the first time they press harder and harder. If you touch the buttons like a cell phone screen, you will never experience this problem.
