Replaced defective OEM WFCO converter - worked as advertised

If you are inexperienced with AC/DC wiring/electronics I would suggest not doing the repair yourself but having a professional do it. My WFCO converter worked on a bike. between the stages, causing the water to boil off. I figured I would have to pour a lot of water into these new batteries (if I remember correctly, 10 ounces per cell every few weeks). Tests with the DVM showed that it alternates between charge stages every few seconds. Troubleshooting as per WFCO's instructions (basically running device with no batteries connected) showed the device was faulty. I contacted an online seller of replacement CR transducers and discussed my findings. His recommendation was to order a replacement PD that would "solve all my problems." That's why I ordered it. Too cautious that the R&R unit involves the addition of heat shrink number labels on the DC cables due to the reverse numbering scheme of the replacement DC distribution board/fuses (required due to the charge assistant feature). Before beginning this work, all power sources were disconnected from the camper. Cut off any cables that do not meet the requirements and unplug them again. In general; care after work; The device is very quiet and above all the voltage was correct (13.6 VDC) and the four stages worked. I can say that after installing this PD converter, the batteries are much "quieter" (which means there were a lot LESS "gas bubbles" in the acid) and I found that the acid level didn't drop as quickly as before the failed unit. By the way, I did a specific gravity test with a professional hydrometer and it was excellent. I was happy that the charge voltage was constant and didn't ramp up to 14.4V DC every few seconds. Well it looks like a well made product and I will buy it again. A NOTICE; ended trading with RV a few weeks later! Our replacement RV came with a PD converter
