I installed this in my caravan and it works well. It fit right into the space left by my dead shifter. Let's see if it lives up to its claim of significantly extended battery life! However, I have had buyers who regret it and wish I'd spent a few hundred dollars more on an inverter/charger. But my small inverter has worked flawlessly so far. I might have money for an inverter/converter if it burns out.

This unit is easy to install and a perfect match for our Airstream converter. The charge assistant feature alone is worth the upgrade. , 70%, the PD converter sends 30A to the batteries. At 85% you see an output current closer to 20A. At 95% it drops to around 15A. At 99% it is in float mode. Using the generator in the garden is a MUST, especially if you plan to use your generator sparingly, alone or as a complement to a solar kit. Highly recommended.

Ordered for charging lithium batteries. It's not necessarily obvious in the description, but it actually charges lithium batteries (at least the ones I got). There is a jumper on the motherboard next to the separate board connector that allows the converter to be switched from standard 13.4V batteries to 14.4V lithium batteries. I haven't installed it long enough to get a real performance overview give. Seems to charge my 400ah exactly as advertised.

Instructions were clear and specific to the model being replaced (WFCO 8955 in my case). The only issue I had was that the 12V distribution panel's incoming connections (battery and converter) were oriented differently than the WFCO, requiring some wires to be routed across the panel or at a sharp angle to bend. I was pleased that this unit came with all parts and is a direct replacement for my Parallax 7300 which recharged my batteries. If you are inexperienced with AC/DC wiring/electronics I would suggest not doing the repair yourself but having a professional do it. My WFCO converter worked on a bike. between the stages, causing the water to boil off. I figured I would have to pour a lot of water into these new batteries (if I remember correctly, 10 ounces per cell every few weeks).
