Initially it was comfortable to put on/wear the splint but after about 2 hours circulatory problems became cramped. After 4 hours my exposed thumb was swollen so I had it removed. It can be comforting for carpal tunnel syndrome or other illnesses I'm not aware of, but it doesn't help me because I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. I needed a thumb compression/splint to support the adductor muscle. If I had bought the next size up, the base of my thumb would not be supported and that is the main reason I bought these. It is a very durable material, well made, seamless and lightweight. I wish the design was a little different. Now that I've bought two because the first time I didn't wear them long enough to understand the issues I was having, I can't return the second one due to seller's policy which is disappointing.
