I love the value of these rugs. I used mats in the silhouette machine. I wanted to save money as I always buy cutting mats. One day I decided to buy them and try them. I was influenced by other reviewers who have also used it in slicers other than its intended purpose. They worked more than expected. Unlike Silhouette carpets, Sizzix carpets do not appear to have an extra layer that almost seems to peel off in many uses like Silhouette carpets. It is also easy to remove the paper from the mat when cutting. A silhouette mat sometimes required a bit of effort for the first few uses. My only disappointment is that the adhesive (stickiness) doesn't last as long as the Silhouette, but due to the price of the Sizzix rugs compared to the Silhouette, it's still worth buying even if you have to buy more.
