Great pump for the price

I ordered 2 of these because similar looking pumps were on store shelves for over $300. I have drain issues in my driveway and yard and needed something that would automatically divert heavy rainwater from my house and driveway when needed. I have used heavy duty 5 gallon buckets with lids to create a pool drainage solution without having to spend a lot of money. I drilled holes in the sides of the buckets and drilled additional holes in the top to drain the water, as well as to route the power cord and drain hose. Attach landscape fabric to the sides of the buckets and bury them just below where water is pooling. Put pumps in buckets and used 1 1/2 plastic drain hoses that I bought locally cheap. Power cords connected to dedicated springs and drain hoses laid in shallow ditches leading to drainage ditches. After completion I checked with the water hose. Both worked great. As the water filled the bucket, the float rose, the pumps turned on, and the water was quickly removed... Then, after the water drained, the pumps turned off automatically. After testing and confirming that both worked correctly, I covered the drain hoses in the ditches with white landscaping, which made them look more professional. Only time will tell if these are reliable pumps, but for now I am completely satisfied and would have no hesitation in recommending these pumps to others who need 'automatic' dewatering solutions.
