I think most of us are here because we want to avoid leaving sharp wire bristles on the grill which can be dangerous. When it comes to cleaning, a wire brush is unbeatable. After I'm done roasting, I turn up the heat to burn off the excess. Then I use a wire brush to clean the grids. When I'm ready to grill again, I tap the grate with this bristleless brush to loosen anything that might be stuck to the grate. I then wipe down the grates with a dry rag or rag before reheating the grill. This brush is a nice addition to your grill kit, but I wouldn't count on it to completely replace a wire brush.
