Works with Alienware m17 laptop on an external monitor!
I have an Alienware m17 R1 4K (UHD) 60Hz laptop that I use for photo editing, but I have a 27" QHD 144Hz monitor bought for games. I used this cable to connect the laptop's mini display port to the monitor's display port cable. The laptop (Windows 10) recognized the monitor, but I had to go to the Nvidia Control Center to manually select the monitor setting (1440p @ 144Hz). After that everything worked fine. Disconnected the cable, Windows reverted to the 4K laptop screen. The cable appears to be of good quality. The braid seems very strong. If so, I will update my review.
