Suitable but carrying capacity is weak
Previously I bought accessory carrier for the same 2007 Mazda6. They worked like clockwork until they lasted. I pressed the trunk release button and the trunk opened fully. Unfortunately they require you to manually raise the trunk about 1/4th before slowly raising the trunk the rest of the way. Generally better than opening a heavy trunk lid, but frankly weak. The small metal clips should be pushed out just a little, do not remove or pry too hard on one side.
