Good so far, best in parts

My daughter and I installed these racks after watching YouTube videos. Improved the performance of her trunk (now it opens and is easier to lift). Closing the lid has a bit more resistance which is ideal as it was quick to slam/shut prior to installation and was a little dangerous. Can't comment on the durability of the posts as we just installed them.

Pros
  • Excellent overall specs
Cons

Boot lift works well easy to install

I bought these to replace broken boot lift struts in my daughter's 2010 Focus. One was broken and I think the other was pretty weak. The broken rack is very annoying - it is difficult for her to lift the lid. Quick install, no hassles, good and strong - now the lid will pop and hold with minimal effort.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Waiting time too long

No dripping when installed on a 2007 Ford Focus

The overall length of the struts was about 1/4 shorter than it should have been. To install them I had to use ratchet straps to compress them enough to tighten. The overall quality and strength of the racks once installed was pretty good, to be honest. Generally. good quality but if you are trying to install these on a 2007 Ford Focus. Much luck!

  • Handy thing

Suitable but carrying capacity is weak

Previously I bought accessory carrier for the same 2007 Mazda6. They worked like clockwork until they lasted. I pressed the trunk release button and the trunk opened fully. Unfortunately they require you to manually raise the trunk about 1/4th before slowly raising the trunk the rest of the way. Generally better than opening a heavy trunk lid, but frankly weak. The small metal clips should be pushed out just a little, do not remove or pry too hard on one side.

  • Finally bought

Perfect solution for Mazda6 i sedan 2003 with factory spoiler!

I installed this on my 2003 Mazda6 i sedan with rear spoiler because the trunk lid was difficult to open and fell off like a rock when closing. The pair of racks arrived well packaged, looked and felt good quality and worked great! Now I can lift the trunk lid slightly and push against some resistance to close it. They are "Made in China". NOTE: These are designed for sedan decklids with the added weight of a spoiler. DO NOT order them if you have a Mazda6 Hatchback as they are not designed for

  • Best in the niche

Easiest 5 Minute Fix

When vendors or reference videos tell you an item is easy to install, it is usually easy for an expert to install. In this case, however, they were really easy to install. When it comes to working on cars, my experience includes: changing oil, changing gaskets, topping up fluids and topping up air conditioning. It's been 5 minutes since I opened the box and installed the new trunk mounts. In my case the old brackets were broken at the top so I only had to remove part of the plastic. I removed…

2005 Mazda 6i with fenders

I should probably give 5 stars but I've only had them a few days and so far they won't close the trunk; They offer no assistance in opening the trunk. While not a problem for me, it is a problem for my 11 year old daughter and wife as the trunk lid can be heavy and tends to stand up in the fully open position (long walk to fully open); This can be a problem for people with a weaker body, such as B. Elderly people and people with smaller physique. Another very minor flaw I found is that the…
