My daughter and I installed these racks after watching YouTube videos. Improved the performance of her trunk (now it opens and is easier to lift). Closing the lid has a bit more resistance which is ideal as it was quick to slam/shut prior to installation and was a little dangerous. Can't comment on the durability of the posts as we just installed them.
