Works great to keep my meals COLD and NOT frozen at work

I travel for work. A lot of. and when i travel i usually leave 3 days at a time and drive at least 2 hours to get to work. Then I stay in the hotel for those days and then go home. Since I live in a hotel, I prepare meals for three days before entering. My hotel room has a refrigerator, but I need groceries that will stay cold for about 16 hours. I found this very difficult. When packing my lunch for on the go I use a 12 fridge which I think works pretty well and holds a good portion of food. I was looking for a solution that would keep my food cold and also take up minimal space in my fridge as I had to fit three dishes in there. I stumbled across them and was skeptical. I was concerned that with the soft waterproof coating it would not be able to maintain the desired level of cooling. The fact that there were 12 in the case was great. I was able to use about 4-6 packs at a time and keep everything nice and dry because ice packs don't sweat. They're small enough that I can pop a handful in the freezer right away and not worry about them taking up too much space. However, I have a few complaints about these ice packs. First, they are difficult to clean. If anything bleeds on them you really need to hand wash them with soap and water and then let them dry. You can't just try it with a paper towel and expect it to be dry like a regular ice pack. Secondly I dropped one or two on the floor when I got cold (oily fingers) and if you drop it right or wrong like I thought it might cause it to tear a little meaning the gel flows inside. Outside. I guess it doesn't matter much if your ice packs never fully thaw, but for me it created a problem. So I had to throw a few away because I dropped them and they broke. Given the price and quantity, this is not a determining factor. Because they're so cheap and you're getting good value for your money, they're easy to replace. Overall this is a product I would recommend to people who want food to stay cold and NOT frozen. And probably not for transporting something over long periods of time if you're concerned it might spoil or thaw and then it wouldn't be safe to refreeze.
