I think this product would be great for closets. However, this rating only refers to the use for stairs and corridors. It takes a second or two for the motion sensor to respond to my movement, during which time I would have walked past. As a result, the headlights always illuminate the area that I don't need. Even in automatic mode, they light up regardless of the outside brightness. My family is annoyed by the light that is on during the day. The brightness is pretty good. Not too bright to blind me when positioned correctly (facing a wall or something that reflects light). Very easy to use. Except that the tape has an adhesive foam backing that leaves half the foam on the surface when I try to peel it off. I must find an evening to wash them off.
