(General info: I've been a software engineer for over 30 years, so I have at least a vague idea of using a smartphone, setting up WiFi, etc.) Me connected this thing/installed the app and it didn't work after following the suggested steps. But after several attempts to 1) turn Wi-Fi on/off, 2) exit/restart the app, and 3) turn on/off the camera, it finally connected and the video capture appeared on the phone. Color reproduction wasn't great, but image quality was definitely acceptable. That was with the Pixel 4, currently the latest/best Google smartphone. The second attempt again required multiple attempts to turn different components on and off in a different order until everything worked. This was on the Pixel 3 XL. A few days later, when we really needed to use it, none of it worked; I couldn't get the Wi-Fi signal from the camera to show up in the list of Wi-Fi sources on my phone. After playing with it for about 10 minutes I gave up and requested/initiated a refund. The reliability of this connection is practically zero, at least in my experience, rendering the product unusable. FYI, their app has a 2.2 rating on the Google Play Store, so that should tell you something.
