Bought a rotor and pad kit as that is all that is on offer for my truck. I put them on and took a test drive around the neighborhood. Right next to my driveway, they didn't feel right. The pedal was soft so I figured I'd have to put it on the rotors. Made a few stops on my road and still bad. Drove home, let cool, then disassembled and checked. Everything was fine, the pads looked a bit strange. Gathered everything back up and went to another drive. Drove a little further and made a stop of about 45-50 mph to 0. Pedal bottomed out, truck held but not much. Flew up to 20mph again and pressed the pedal and there were no brakes. The pedal hit the floor. I was able to stop and sit for a few minutes and then brake again. Went home slowly. I let them cool and took them apart and the pads melted as you can see in the pictures. This is after two test rides totaling about 5 miles. I put the factory pads on as they are almost new. Did a test drive, now it brakes perfectly. The rotors seem to be fine so far. Works well with factory pads. -- To update. I contacted support and they sent me a new install kit. So far, so good. The pads in the first order are said to have been defective.
