Added to my DW735 planer. I aligned the input and output trays so they lay flat against the plane bed. They're thick, bent steel, so they're not ideal in terms of flatness, but I was able to get them straight all the way around. With them I still had a problem with the sniper, and the wood sometimes went slowly through the planer. I used paraffin wax to lubricate the bed and trays and this solved both the slow feed and snipe problems. My guess is that the extra length of the feed bowl created enough extra friction to slow the feed. Waxing the bed and trays fixed things.
