Review on πŸ”§ Danco (80004) Moen Single Replacement Handle - Metal, 1-Pack by Chris Burns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a metal part that should never have been plastic.

For those of you with a tighter twist Moen tub faucet that gets "sloppy" over time until it breaks completely, this is the find, which I had hoped to burst at some point! The original Moen part, which is supposed to turn the valve stem, is a nylon-like hard plastic that takes care of the hard part, while the handle is say metal and will never break?! So this kit doesn't really need a new pin. Decide for yourself whether you like this style more or not. However, replacing a plastic part with a metal part ensures that it will not deform and loosen or even break over time. However, my suggestion is to screw it onto the valve stem with a pair of lock washers (not included) as the screw itself will quickly loosen and you will have to remove the knob to re-tighten it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not the best
