False advertising of this product. The announcement clearly states that Microsoft provides a ONE YEAR manufacturer's warranty. In my case it is 100% FALSE. My item arrived and did not work. Terrible BATTERY CONNECTED but not charging which seems to be the case with Surface products. I went to every forum, went to every video how to solve this problem but to no avail. Asked Microsoft for support and lo and behold, the warranty on this product expired almost 6 months ago, June 2017. So as promised, NO WARRANTY. Microsoft offered to extend the warranty for $29/month, or about $150/year. Yes, almost as much as a unit of goods costs. And here I am with a useless piece of junk that I need to send back, refurbished means they need to be wiped down with a rag and put in a box. Apparently no one tested this, the battery never charges above 50% when fully powered off (never charge from the mains) which tells me it's an old original battery on the verge of failure. repaired again, why didn't they try to charge the battery? Why didn't anyone connect it and check whether the battery was really charged before selling it? CAREFULLY. DO NOT buy these refurbished products, do NOT buy them. Rather spend a little more money and buy a NEW one. This is a joke, a parody and a blatant lie in their advertising. I would NEVER buy it if it weren't for the fact that it comes with a one year warranty. And it turned out to be 100% BS. Very disappointed - note today is November 5th 2017. Microsoft opened this page with a photo attached for me showing that this device is out of warranty and expired on June 3, 2017. It is very sad that they are allowed to trade in such nonsense.
