I’ve had neck pain for years which radiates into my shoulder muscles. I tried this heat pack several years ago and it is amazing!PROS: It has tiny beads inside so you don’t feel anything annoying or bulky. Unlike herbal neck packs, this has no scent so you don’t have to worry if you are sensitive to any fragrance. I just microwave it for 1 1/2 minutes and the heat lasts for a good half hour. I love the fact that it ties in the front so it stays in place and kinda contours to your body. It has some weight to it but isn’t heavy or uncomfortable. I never travel without this!CONS: It is more of a shoulder treatment than neck as it doesn’t really fit up around the neck, but if my shoulder muscles are warm and relaxed, it tends to release the neck muscles. I would love it to have a little higher profile to hug the neck but overall I’m very pleased. I have to buy new ones every couple of years because the light color fabric gets stained easily (perfume, moisturizers, etc.) and it’s not washable. Also be careful because your microwave can burn a hole through it if you have a microwave that has a "hotspot” or if your carousel isn’t working or if you heat it for longer than directed. If it burns, it’s over. Little beads will come out. I’ve had that happen 3x’s in like 7 years and little "bird seeds” go all over the place. But after hundreds of uses - it is well worth it - despite the occasional need for a replacement.I have probably owned 5 of these over the years and I plan to continue to buy them. When I am nervous or feeling stressed, I sometimes warm the pack and just put it over my tummy and I find it very comforting. I also use it when I feel a chill as it just feels cozy.I highly recommend!UPDATE: wow….I just reordered my 10th one yesterday! Granted that’s over a period of many years….but 10?!?! I’m worth it! I’m so obsessed with these soothing packs that I always need to have an extra one floating around in case I misplace the other one (which I do all the time). Whether I’m cooking dinner or sitting at my desk working, I wear my neck pack quite often and then take it off when it gets cool and set it down wherever I am. The next time I go to use it, sometimes I don’t remember where I left it and I just need a back up one so I don’t have to go hunting for it. Still recommend these highly. (And no - I’m not on their payroll. Lol.)
