OK, I give this watch ONE STAR. He loses time every day. If you intend to use it as a chronometer, be prepared to reset it almost daily. These are beautiful watches. I give them FIVE STARS for steampunk decoration. It has an antique bronze chain with a slider clip. Looks very good. Yes you can see the gears through the front, but the back has a larger opening to see the gears. Appearance is slightly different from the photo, at least on my computer. The wood has a slightly redder appearance and the surface is brown rather than black. It is smaller than a normal pocket watch. Face size 1 3/16 inches. The watch case is 1 3/4" in diameter and 7/16" thick. This watch is too beautiful to carry in your pocket. I take off the chain and put it on my shoulder. If I talk to someone, they can see how it works.
