Recoding is cheaper than programming

At first I was going to Mazda to program the new keys but then I thought why not recode to fit the old key. I ended up getting a new key for $45 and now I don't need separate keys to open the doors. So basically it came back to its original state with the original keys. 2006 Mazda3
