Don't let the lower price fool you, the player is great, can be compared to others with similar features, at any price. It is very compact in size but offers a large volume. Many of my favorite movies/DVDs are over 10 years old and well worn. Colors are more vibrant than ever on this player and sound is crisp and clear. The only reason I'm not giving a fifth star is because of the remote control, it's so tiny and the button labels are so light I can barely read them. It's as much an issue with my eyesight/age as the inconvenience of the design of the remotes. That wouldn't stop me from buying this player again. I've only had this player for 1 week so I can't confirm its long term reliability but so far it's very good and I would recommend it and also buy it again for myself or as a gift.
