The LubeLocker seal is made of steel coated with rubber on both sides with an additional factory applied elastomeric sealant. The metal gasket is strong (impact resistant), seals well and can be reused many times. It comes with instructions for tightening the screws in a specific pattern - follow the instructions closely and you're done - and go - and go! I used a LubeLocker seal with a cast aluminum differential belt - perfect fit, easy install and no leaks! Apply LubeLocker Pad DRY! No more messing around with RTV sealant! WARNING ! Use a good (click) torque wrench and DO NOT tighten the cover bolts to more than 25 ft/lbs! 37 F to 105 F. Wipe the underside of the differential and cover with a clean paper towel - CLEAN AND DRY! UPDATE: 7/17/2018 - Two (2) years from installation - Speed up to 110 mph. Air temp 34 F to 116 F. Wipe down the underside of the differential and cover with a clean paper towel. STILL CLEAN AND DRY!
