The product came with a quick release cover. Gave three stars because the way you have to install this thing is ridiculous. You have to remove the entire tire plug under the tank and unbolt the tank and remove the seat which is non-existent given the time you have to spend installing it. I gave up and cut three wires from the headlight, reattached the wires with caps/tape and installed it that way. Aligning the lid to the back plate requires some fiddling and screwing it on is a bit fiddly. Ultimately, this is such a small improvement that it really wasn't worth the effort, at least for me. And by the way. Once installed this part cannot be removed if you are selling a bike etc. However, the product is durable and very solid, doesn't move or anything when attached. Fits perfectly on 2013 XL883L.
