I like the aesthetic, but the lack of traction with our slightly rounded armrests made it non-functional; The felt insert, on the other hand, does not give our leather sofa a non-slip hold. Round pads on a flat surface for drinks or a phone weren't slippery either. It looks sleek and I love the side pocket for remotes, phones and whatever else you might want to put in it, but when you put something in the side bottom gets heavier and the whole thing slides better. Even if our armrests were square, I imagine they would still slide if extra weight was placed on them because the bamboo slat side is significantly lighter. I wanted to love them (I bought two!) but they didn't fit on our sofa.
