I bought a pair of these and I liked them so much I bought a few more. I use 4 small electric heaters to heat 3 small hunting lodges. I set them to 58-60 degrees, turn on the heat and leave. Very easy to set up and use and I no longer experience large temperature swings in cabins. In my cabin I set it back to 38-40 degrees when I go and it keeps my cabin from freezing the water lines. When I come back I'll put them back to 58-60. I burn wood, but when I go to bed at night the fire sometimes goes out if I don't get up to light it. This thermostat keeps my electric heater running and the cabin warm until I light the fire again. HOWEVER, out of 4, one blocked, wouldn't turn off, and kept heating up until my bathroom hit 80 degrees. Luckily I have it. I cut it up and threw it away. Then I noticed that the plugs and cables were getting hot. warm to the touch on all three remaining blocks. So it's not safe for 1200 to 1500 watt heaters. I re-read the specs and saw that they are rated at 1100 watts. I like the concept but will look for more reliable and safer units. I also didn't notice the UL listing on the device. I would use them with caution.
