This is a story of Mr. Right or Mr. Rightnow. I do not see this umbrella lasting many trips. After a few days of light wind the metal started to separate the umbrella from the pole! That should not happen! (see picture). I was using a lot of options (see other picture) and certainly the oldest/cheapest umbrella is putting in something crazy like its 20th trip.I will say that this fared better then the more expensive dark blue umbrellas suffered a catastrophic even.Over all these are relatively cheap and nice enough, but I think that these may not last more then a few trips (or one for the unit with issues).I will mostly agree with the comment that the sand anchor is just OK, and should be a little bigger. I compensate by starting with a hole to get to harder packed sand.I would buy this with the expectation of getting a 7 day trip out of it, then be happy getting a second trip, but plan on this being a short term solution.
