Review on πŸ‘Ά Enhance Comfort and Healing with Silverette Original Silver Nursing Cups by Carmen Rosario

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These cups saved my nipples and my relationship with breastfeeding. MARVELOUS.

I got her about four weeks after giving birth on the recommendation of my amazing IBCLC (International Certified Lactation Consultant). She said they're popular in Europe and other lactation consultants she know love them. They're expensive, but I was desperate - my nipples were badly damaged from early closure issues, including multiple layers of tissue damage on one side (and missing tissue), bleeding sores on both sides, and constant redness and pain. . Breast care and breastfeeding went better, but my nipples just didn't heal fast enough to bother me every time. I've tried everything: Medihoney, Dr. Jack Newman's APNO Recipe, Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Air out, Keep Moist, Saline Flushes, Sunlight, Nipple Shields (which filled up instantly). blood when I tried to use it). Nothing helped and despite all the hard work we had put in and the improved grip technique I was almost ready to quit. So, in my desperation, I took these children in. And within hours my nipples went from bright red and sore to light pink and almost normal. Watch. I could not believe my eyes. I showed it to my husband and he agreed they looked like new nipples. Pain relief was also immediate, although I was still not pain free. But after a few days of wearing my nipples have made significant healing progress. I never took them off after that, wore them 24/7 (and still wear them 10 weeks postpartum) and my nipples are almost completely healed. (I say "almost" because the one with the multi-layered tissue damage had some kind of permanent traumatic injury that caused me to have vasospasm about half the time, so it still hurts sometimes. But obviously not like before. ) These silverettes saved my relationship with the nurse. Since then I have been recommending it to all breastfeeding mothers I know who have problems in the early days. And for future children, I will start wearing them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, maybe even before they are born. Some details: To maintain them, I wash them twice a day with a paste made from baking soda. I wear them with a bamboo pad over them to absorb leaks (and make Madonna's nipple less visible). If you hit a big disappointment, they fill up a little on the no-feed side, so keep an eye on that (or buy a Milkie breast pump). The bands will easily dig into the areola if they are not positioned correctly or if the band is on the Montgomery gland (a small bump on the areola). When that happens, I just adjust them to be more comfortable. My nipples sometimes feel a little dry and maybe a little gray like the silver is changing color. But I don't care about the inconvenience. These things save my life. You'll have to snatch them from my cold, dead hands if you want me to stop wearing them! You basically saved my relationship with the baby. However, does anyone who has worn them have any advice on when to stop wearing them, if ever? I shot them here and there a few nights when my stomach was asleep, but other than that I'm nervous.
