I ordered this because I wanted a thicker protector for my MacBook and this one is supposed to be compatible with my model. It fits the screen dimensions perfectly, and it is a nice quality for sure - the three stars given above is not for material quality or dimensions, but for the fact that my laptop does not fully close when I add the protective screen - To be honest, I did not get this to use as a privacy screen, my intension was to protect my screen from my kitten who likes to bite the corners of my screen. However, because of the thickness, my laptop does not shut properly. Maybe it is only intended to use as needed - but, I had assumed it would be designed with the intension of keeping it on and shutting properly, especially if it is supposed to work for my laptop model. I have decided to keep it, I might try to play with it to see if I can modify it so that my laptop can close.
