I did an oil change, installed an oil filter on my Rebel 300. I drove it and the engine died. I towed it to a Honda dealer and they said the engine had "dried up" from the oil because the oil filter was for an ATV and not a Rebel 300. I rummaged through the trash and the filter bag they sent was a Honda 15412.-HM5-A10. The filter they were supposed to send was a Honda 15410-KYJ-902 oil filter. A fake filter will be the same size and appearance and if you install one on your motorcycle you have a good chance of destroying the engine. If you decide to purchase this PLEASE CHECK THE PART NUMBER ON THE FILTER BEFORE INSTALLATION! Don't think it's right.
