I've long wanted to mount my monitors in a way that allows me to mix (or even enjoy) music without bending down to get my ears in the right place. I was worried about my monitors slipping and falling, but this hasn't happened after several months of sitting or standing desk use. There is a hole in the speaker stands that you can use to mount your monitors, but I don't have a hole in my monitors and I don't plan on making one in case I misunderstand the internal architecture. I am now convinced that they are safer than stacking on something flat because they still have a low angle profile as they are. The stands flex a bit if that's important to you.
