The bars look great and have the basic functionality you would expect but have the common issue that the side bar only slides into the center connecting bar, as soon as you open the clasp, it pulls the side bar out of the center link bar. In our case we bought a really wide rod because we have a big window in a big room and the curtain is higher than usual. A chair or stepladder is therefore required to return the bar to its place. I can usually only get it to break every 2nd or 3rd time it's opened. I agree with the higher rating as this is a common problem with lots of cornices. I can't believe there isn't a one size fits all solution that comes from the factory and matches the color. I think the one size fits all solution at the moment is tape for the matte black finish and tape for the nickel =) The instructions are very confusing. When delivered, the rods are not properly connected to each other. You'll have to remove the end cap and screw it back onto one of the other bars if you want a specific width. It would just be a lot clearer how to do it.
