They are crimped perfectly with a cheap rivet tool with threaded inserts from Harbor Freight. However, compared to the aluminum rivets that come with this tool, they are heavier and have indentations along the neck and underside of the head so they bite into the surface and "snap" like a toothed washer. Now I'm sure I won't have to worry about the bolt nuts loosening due to road vibration or threads loosening if I ever have to remove the guides. Other reviewers have mentioned this before, but I can confirm that the 23/64 inch drill bit was perfect for them. Less is not possible, more gives you room for maneuver. I also took a minute to count them before starting the project (as another reviewer said he only got about 70) and can confirm I got exactly 100 as described.
