I love these things!

Ideal for those who can drill screws through the metal of their van. I only wish I had bought a set that comes with screws already.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Very good for nuts

I used the expensive version at work and don't see much of a difference. We used this on our race car to mount gauges and other items to sheet metal. We haven't released any yet and some have seen a lot of assembly and disassembly.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Easy to use, very efficient.

These things are great. Being able to put a 1/4-20 hole almost anywhere helped my van a lot and answered the question "how the hell am I going to mount this thing in there?" quite simply, drill a hole and poke one of those bad guys in.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Periodicity

Have used them on several SUVs. Installation of permanent fixtures.

Has been used on several jeeps. Attachment of permanent mounts for lightbars and bulletproof vests. Allows for quick removal later to prevent buildup of debris that can lead to unwanted rust. An important additional recommendation. Buy a quality fastening tool.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • you could choose a newer model

I hate nuts - fasteners

They were perfect for replacing the old ones that held my Wrangler fenders. They curl well and hold the thread. I only had one spin and was able to crimp again and it held up well. They seem to be better than the original. They're a little harder to crimp than others I've used, but they hold up much better than these.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Upgradeable

The quality is good, I just saved up and bought metric screws to go with it.

Ordered "100 pack 1/4UNC" thinking they would fit standard 1/4" bolts because M6 isn't listed anywhere but they are metric so I am not sure why they are listed as 1/4". 4?Anyway, the quality is good, I just kept and bought extra metric screws to fit.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Requires socket

Worked great! Used 12 of these to install the roof.

Worked great! I used 12 of these to install a roof rack on my Jeep XJ. I used a 23/64" drill bit and it was perfect. The crimp on them held up perfectly, and I even used a crappy port cargo cutting tool. Highly recommended! It's very easy to find 1/4-20 screws that can be used with them. Here is a link to my project showing how to use this product.[.]

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • will be added later

Build your own simple tool to install them.

They do the job they asked me to do and I happily got 100 for the same price others charge for 50. I built my own nut press. If you can get to the back of the nut bit it will work if no compression tool is required. Just take a 1/4-20 2" bolt. Screw on the nut and add a couple of washers. Thread the bolt into the nut so the bolt sticks out about 14" from the back. Put the Nutsert on into an appropriately sized hole.and place a 14/20 nut on the back and then tighten slightly. Now press the nut…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Appearance

Perfect for installing factory roof rails on my van.

They are crimped perfectly with a cheap rivet tool with threaded inserts from Harbor Freight. However, compared to the aluminum rivets that come with this tool, they are heavier and have indentations along the neck and underside of the head so they bite into the surface and "snap" like a toothed washer. Now I'm sure I won't have to worry about the bolt nuts loosening due to road vibration or threads loosening if I ever have to remove the guides. Other reviewers have mentioned this before, but I

Pros
  • Outstanding Design
Cons
  • New Competitors Appeared
