Review on Bohin 81980 Automatic Needle Threader by Nicole Mcleod

The product description says "This needle threader is designed to thread size 1 through 11 needles." It turns out (on the back of the box, not in the product description) that it is designed for needles with an elongated (oval) eye. I first tried the needle threader with a #8 oval eyed needle and it worked really well. For my fine appliqué needles it works great with a #9 and #10 oval eyelet and threads into a #9 round eye needle. My aging eyes and not so steady hands make hand threading the needles difficult which is a big help ! Tip: When you press the needle threader button, the needle threader's small metal hook comes out through a small hole a little to the side of the machine. This usually leaves a tiny loop of thread; Grab this loop with your fingertips and pull the thread through this hole (instead of just pulling the needle up and out). With my small round-eyed needles, this stitch is sometimes not visible; but if I take a small metal hook and gently pull it outwards, a loop of thread comes out.
